Costa Rica
My son was living in Costa Rica for a few years and was planning on returning to the US at the end of the year. Therefore, we booked a trip to visit him for a few weeks before he left. Since we were working remotely while in Costa Rica this did limit our travel plans somewhat. We planned to stay with him in San Jose during the week and travel over long weekends.
Our first weekend we spent in the area where his girlfriend grew up in the Puntarenas area. We headed back to San Jose to spend the week there and then went to the Guanacaste area for a weekend. Our final weekend was to be in Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side.
Unfortunately, our dog in Atlanta that had been diagnosed with cancer was getting much worse and needed to be put to sleep. Therefore, we cut our trip short and returned to Atlanta about 4 days early and missed the Puerto Viejo part of the trip. Our dog made an appearance in my backpack giveaway video.
